The John Harbaugh era in New York officially began this past weekend with their first preseason game of the season. While the results of a preseason game don't matter too much, it still gives us a glimpse into what fans can expect from the team this season.

Starting with the biggest headline, Jaxson Dart, who did have a beautiful touchdown pass to rookie wideout Malachi Fields, he also took a huge hit early on in this one and had to go to the medical tent. We all remember how many times Dart ended up in the blue tent last season, so to see him end up there again before the regular season even begins is concerning.

Dart was hit after Jay Ward came running straight at the quarterback completely untouched for the sack. Dart was immediately taken off the field and given a concussion test, which he passed. Harbaugh after the game talked about how it was a hit Dart should not have taken and the team needs to block better for him. Dart said postgame he understands the caution but didn't feel the medical tent was necessary after the hit.

Giants fans did get to see Odell Beckham Jr haul in a couple passes for the first time since 2018, and he could have finished with a much better statline as he was open on more than one occasion.

This game also marked the debut of yet another exciting young player in first round pick Arvell Reese, who tallied a pair of tackles and looks like exactly the kind of player the Giants expected with the 5th pick.
