NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport has reported that the New York Giants have pulled their long term $60 million contract to Jason Pierre Paul. Paul originally turned down the offer, and has yet to sign his one year franchise tender.

JPP nearly blew his hand off on Saturday July 4th, while lighting off fireworks. The burns are so bad it required hospitalization. News came out  Sunday that JPP's hand will be intact, and as of Sunday night, doctors were still examining for nerve damage and other issues related to the incident. He is currently still in the hospital.

The Giants are still in the process of learning the specifics of the injury and any possible long term effects. While the Giants spokesmen have came out in full support of JPP, these actions may say otherwise.

It's starting to look like JPP will play on the $14.8 million franchise tag. Whether the Giants decide to cut tie with him after that will depend on his impact in the upcoming season.

Watch JPP talk about fireworks just before the accident occurred.
