Is the Titans’ Momentum Too Much to Stop at this Point?
Is there any stopping the Tennessee Titans? Maybe, to answer that, we have to answer this question first: is there any stopping Derrick Henry? The former Heisman Trophy winner has run all over two heavy favorites already this postseason, trampling the Patriots and Ravens defense in back to back weeks.
Henry put up 182 yards at New England and 195 yards at Baltimore sending the sixth seeded Titans into the AFC Championship game where they will be another sizable underdog with an opening line of 7.5.
Mike Vrabel and company are winning games in January with a contrarian approach. While the rest of the NFL searches for that game-breaking quarterback and innovative offensive mind at head coach, Tennessee has instead asked Ryan Tannehill to only make timely throws instead of carrying the full load. In the two wins these playoffs, Tannehill has a combined 160 passing yards.
