The Buffalo Bills are preparing for an upcoming matchup with the Cincinnati Bengals this Sunday, which also happens to be the Sunday Night Football this weekend.

The Bengals are riding high now on offense, defeating the San Francisco 49ers this past Sunday. The Bills found their groove on offense this past Thursday, as they went back to 11-personnel with Dawson Knox out (three wide receiver sets).

The Bills are underdogs in this game and they needed help on defense. General manager Brandon Beane pulled off a trade on Tuesday, acquiring Green Bay Packers cornerback Rasul Douglas and a 5th round pick, in exchange for a 3rd round pick.

Douglas will likely be in Buffalo later today. Fans expect him to start on Sunday, but he will have to at least get a day or two of practice in.

Beane spoke to the media on Douglas and the trade deadline, but also talked about second-year cornerback, Kaiir Elam.

Elam has only been active for two games this season. He's lost his starting job to Dane Jackson and Christian Benford. Many thought he would be traded but Beane stressed they are not trading Elam.

Beane also disclosed that Elam has been dealing with a nagging ankle injury all season, and even thought about putting him on injured reserve.

Beane said that he had made multiple calls on cornerbacks dating back a few weeks, along with making calls on offensive players, which may suggest wide receiver.

The Bills clearly made trading for a cornerback a top priority. They desperately needed a good corner after losing Tre'Davious White for the season and Elam not living up to expectations.
