Von Miller Will Miss At Least The First 4 Games For The Bills
Von Miller has been on the sidelines for the Buffalo Bills since his injury on Thanksgiving last season. Now it looks like that will continue to start the season.
Hopes were high that Von Miller might be able to come back to play for the Bills long before most predicted. He has obviously been working extremely hard to come back as soon as possible, but it looks as though he won't be able to come back right away.
Von Miller suffered an ACL injury
On Thanksgiving of last season, Miller tore his ACL in a game against the Detroit Lions and hasn't seen any time on the field since then. It's a serious injury that normally takes a long time to recover from. When Tre'Davious White suffered the same injury the year before it took an entire year to get back out on the field.
He appeared to be recovering faster than normal
People have been watching his recovery closely, hoping that our star pass rusher might be able to get back out there as soon as possible. He was sharing pictures on social media that looked as though he would be back sooner than most expected.
Brandon Beane commented on Miller just a few days ago and seemed hopeful that he might be able to return soon.
“Brandon Beane says Von Miller is getting closer and things are trending up. He says the team will decide in a couple days whether to pull him off PUP. Sounds like they’re taking it down to the wire,” - Matt Parino
Miller will be starting the season on the PUP list
According to Ian Rapoport, the improvements weren't quite enough and the staff didn't feel comfortable putting him out there just yet. They announced today that Miller will miss the first four games because he will be placed on the PUP/Reserve (Player Unable to Perform) list to start the season.
That will mean that the Bills game against the Jags in London will be the first game that Miller could be available for, if he is healthy enough at the time to play.
