How Much Did We Get? See Capital Region Black Friday Snowfall Totals
As locals ventured out on Black Friday to kick off the holiday season with some Christmas shopping in the Capital Region, they were greeted with snow showers to add to the spirit of the season. For some, that snow turned into more than a spirit builder and our first shovelable/plowable snow of the season.
Lake-effect snow moved across the region in bands Friday, and while we got nowhere near the foot or more that fell in Central and Western New York, some in the Capital Region got some decent accumulations.
National Weather Service spotters from throughout the area have been sending in their reports, and our totals ranged from just an inch or two in the Albany area to about a half foot or more in areas west of Albany.
