Schenectady is a Capital Region restaurant hotspot, especially when it comes to Italian restaurants and pizza. Its time to get ready for another new spot to grab a slice in the Electri City.

According to a Daily Gazette report, a new wood-fired pizza place called Lily P's Wood Fire Pizza plans to open on State Street in the old Anabel's location in August or September. The restaurant will have street access and be accessible through Frog Alley for brewery patrons. A new menu for the eatery will be developed and finalized in the coming days when a head chef is hired for the new pizza shop.
