Jerry Koosman Feels Honored to be Selected into NY State Baseball HOF

We have been fortunate to have a pretty good streak of baseball greats joining the show recently and that is thanks to the NY State Baseball Hall of Fame! In November this year Jerry Koosman will be inducted into the New York State Baseball Hall of Fame along with his manager Gil Hodges! Jerry joined the show to reminisce a little bit about recording the final out in the 1969 Miracle Mets World Series Championship!

Koosman will also join Hodges in the ranks of retired numbers in New York Mets history as he will have his number 36 retired this year by NY. Koosman tells us how honored he was when he got that call as well as gave us some insight on why we see so many young pitchers like a Noah Syndergaard getting injured frequently.
