Last season didn't provide a ton of wins for either the Jets or the Giants but that wasn't the worst part of the 2020 NFL season. The worst part was Giants fans couldn't cheer on their improved team that was in a playoff hunt right down to the wire and Jets fans couldn't let Adam Gase know how much they wanted him fired in person. Good luck to both Giants head coach Joe Judge and Jets head coach Robert Saleh because the fans are coming back! New Jersey Governor Phil Murphey had a busy Monday as he legalized marijuana and paved the way for fans to return to sporting events.

The news came yesterday that "The Garden State" was ready to welcome back fans to sporting events starting March 1st. In his press conference, Governor Murphy said Sports and Entertainment facilities with a minimum capacity of 5,000 fixed seats would allow 10% for indoor and 15% for outdoor venues. Meaning as of today MetLife would be able to host approximately 12,000 fans this Monday. Considering the season won't start until September hopes are high both Big Blue and Gang Green will have at least 50% of capacity allowed to return.

According to NorthJersey.com Murphy went on the "Moose and Maggie" radio show and shared his plan.
"Everybody's got to do the stuff that we're all used to these days, face coverings and social distancing,'' said Murphy. "If you buy tickets together you can sit together, but otherwise you've got to stay away from each other.''

With New York beginning to allow bout 2,000 fans at Madison Square Garden tonight, hopes are high that Citi Field and Yankee Stadium will be open for business way sooner than many of us thought. One thing's for sure at this pace the future for sports fans is getting brighter every day.
