Former Toronto Blue Jay slugger Jose Bautista is set to play for the Dominican Republic team in the upcoming Olympic Qualifiers. The 39 year old had played for a few teams in the MLB but most will remember him for his power numbers and bat flips while in Toronto. ESPN's Jeff Passan is now reporting the former outfielder will attempt to play first base and pitch.

I'm very intrigued by this story and will give me one more reason to watch the Olympics. By the way former Blue Jays teammate Marcus Stroman is indeed supporting Joey Bats.
