Kevin Huerter has had a tremendous third season in the National Basketball Association. Kevin is averaging 11.9 PPG, 3.6 RPG and 3.7 APG. He recently had a highlight reel dunk against the Oklahoma City Thunder, a game in which the teams started the game with clashing jersey colors. Huerter joined the program and talked about those two events. Make sure to listen above!

Huerter of course is a Shenendehowa High School graduation and his sisters, Meghan and Jillian, current star on the girls basketball team. Kevin is devastated for not only his sisters, but all the players who will not to have a full season this year. The Shen girls just had a impressive performance against Averill Park and there are rumblings of a potential postseason tournament. We will see how that conflicts with other high school sports that will begin play soon.

I watch a lot of Atlanta Hawks games obviously because of Kevin and this team just is not able to win close games. I am not sure exactly what it is but what I do know is that if they are able to pull out those games more often tin the second half they can be a playoff team. Maybe the dismissal of Lloyd Pierce will change some things. I was extremely surprised by that decision. I felt Pierce had earned at least to play out this season but the Hawks made their choice and we will see if that leads to more wins. Huerter and the Hakes play in Miami tonight against the Heat.
