The New York Knicks, no matter what happens the rest of the way, put themselves in very good shape for the future. After a season in which they made the playoffs for the first time since 2013, Super Star athletes are finally going to want to play for the Knicks. Head Coach Tom Thibodeau is a head coach players will want to play for, and then all the other intangibles come into play. New York is the mecca of basketball, and MSG is arguable the best setting in the NBA. Thibodeau has changed the climate in one season, and it sets up a very bright future.

I think after the recent success of the Milwaukee Bucks, this could be the year for Giannis and company who have fallen short in the last two seasons. They fell apart in the bubble and choked a 2-0 lead in the Eastern Conference Finals in 2019. Now with Jrue Holiday they might have their best chance. My cohost, Eric Hannmann, is rooting for the Knicks to get the 6 seed because he believes he can give them the toughest test in the first round and weaken them before a potential grueling battle with his Brooklyn Nets. Listen to the above segment for more on the NBA.

We also discussed LeBron James and whether or not the Lakers could be in serious trouble entering the final stretch. I think his ankle is absolutely a concern but how much is smoke and mirrors or shall we even say a built-in excuse? I think this is serious but we will see if he can make it back for the playoffs and where his effectiveness lies.
