Knicks Hire David Fizdale As New Head Coach

The New York Knicks Coaching search is over. Former Memphis Grizzles coach David Fizdale is the new coach. According to ESPN Knicks reporter Ian Begley Fizdale and the Knicks have agreed to a four year deal.

Fizdale was 50-51 with one playoff appearance in two years as the head coach of the Memphis Grizzles. A dust up with super star Marc Gasol caused the Grizzles to part ways with Fizdale but while he was in Memphis he proved he wasn't intimidated by anyone not even Spurs coach Gregg Popovich. During a series against the heavily favored San Antonio Spurs Fizdale went to battle for his team and his star Michael Conley in this now famous press conference.

As a Knicks fan I am thrilled to have David Fizdale as the new coach. Let's hope this is the start of something GOOD!
