If Gov. Cuomo says high school football teams can starting practicing on Sept. 21 but can’t play games, then he needs to clarify what he means by practice.

If teams are allowed to put on the pads and tackle each other in practice, then they should be allowed to play games too. If you can’t put on the pads and conduct football practice in preparation for games, then why practice at all. Just cancel the season and move on.

You can’t social distance playing football, so you’re either all in or not.
