Seattle outfielder Casper Wells had a big day at the plate but Johnny Damon had an even bigger one.

Damon, the former Yankee, hit a walk-off homerun in the bottom of the 9th inning as the Tampa Bay Rays defeated the Seattle Mariners on Sunday afternoon, 8-7.

Wells went 2-for-4 with a home run and two RBI in Seattle's loss to the Rays.  He now has 5 homers in his last seven games.  He missed last Thursday's game after getting hit in the face by a pitch by Toronto's Brandon Morrow on Wednesday.

The Schenectady native is now batting .333 with 6 home runs and 14 RBI through his first 15 games in a Mariners uniform.  He was traded by Detroit to Seattle on July 30th.

Wells is now hitting .281 with 10 homeruns and 26 RBI this season.
