On the eve of the UAlbany football Spring Game, head coach Greg Gattuso joins the guys on Big Board Sports.

Gattuso is entering his 4th season with the Great Danes and might have the deepest pool of talent on the roster in his time at UAlbany. The offensive line is undergoing a rebuild with effectively four open spots in camp and linebacker Michael Nicastro, the best player on the defensive side of the ball, is gone to graduation but from a skill position standpoint, this UAlbany team has a CAA look to it. The question, as it is with most teams in football, is whether the quarterback position will allow UAlbany to not only compete with the best the conference has to offer but to beat some of those teams.

Will Brunson, who took over the starting reins late last season, comes into camp as QB1 and last season's starter, Neven Sussman, will serve as the backup but is expected to have a "wildcat package" of sorts developed for him.

UAlbany is living by the "Every Rep Matters" mantra in 2017 and, as Gattuso has put it, this program is in a space of expectation where it needs to win some more games in which its considered the underdog, either from a talent or tradition standpoint.
