Arrest Warrant Issued for Buffalo Bills' Player Von Miller: What We Know
Reports from The New York Post confirmed that an arrest warrant had been issued for Miller, an issuance that was confirmed by the Dallas Police Department.
The arrest warrant comes after Dallas Police responded to a major disturbance call, which was made on Wednesday, November 29th. An investigation into the incident showed that Miller and his girlfriend, who is pregnant, got into a verbal argument that day.
It was then when the disagreement turned physical, and Miller committed the alleged assault.
Miller is facing a third-degree felony charge of assaulting a pregnant person. He has yet to be arrested, as of 12:54PM on Thursday, November 30th. His partner was treated for injuries at the scene of the crime, but was reportedly not transported to the hospital following the incident.
The Buffalo Bills released a statement that read, in-part, that they are in the process of gathering more information and will have no further comment at this point.
Has Von Miller Been Arrested Before?
Miller has been involved in a few other legal situations over the last decade.
- He arrested on a failure to appear warrant for driving-related charges in October 2012.
- He was cited for speeding and driving with a suspended license in Arapahoe County, Colorado in September of 2013.
- In 2018, Miller is alleged to have illegally landed and improperly caught and released a hammerhead shark.
As noted by ESPN, Miller was also under investigation in 2021 by police in Parker, Colorado, but no charges were filed. The investigation was launched after his ex-girlfriend shared a string of menacing texts that were allegedly sent to her by Miller regarding her own pregnancy.
