Well so much for the no drama I predicted for this years buildup to the Super Bowl. Thanks to Ray Lewis alleged use of a banned substance and Chris Culliver's mouth this brother fest has turned lively.

Culliver the 2nd year nickle back who had an interception in the NFC title game win over Atlanta told a radio host gays wouldn't be welcome in the 49ers locker room among other comments.

Comedian Artie Lange who doubles as a radio host asked Culliver about welcoming a gay player into the locker room. Culliver said to that " I don't do the gay guys. I don't do that" when asked if he was ever approached by a gay player.

When Lange followed up with a question about a gay player on the 49ers, Culliver said " We ain't got no gay players on the team. They gotta get up out here if they do. Can't be with that sweet stuff...Nah can't be....In the locker room man."

Lange in case you don't know also worked on the Howard Stern show for years and has partly re-invented himself as a sports talk show host. He is also a stand up comedian. Culliver added that gay players should wait at least 10 years after retiring to proclaim their sexual orientation.

All these questions were an off shoot to former 49er Kwame Harris who was arrested after a fight with his boyfriend over an alleged stolen pair of under ware among other things. Harris is alleged to have beaten up his boyfriend or former boyfriend.

The San Francisco organization was quick to condemn the comments from Culliver saying in a release " The San Francisco organization rejects the comments that were made yesterday and have addressed the matter with Chris. There is no place for discrimination in our organization within our organization at any level. We have and always will support the LGBT community."

Culliver is expected to address the media on Thursday to continue his apology tour and explain his comments further
