On Saturday night at 7 p.m. on the field at UAlbany, the Great Danes football team (3-6) will host the University of New Hampshire (5-4) in the last regular season game of the season.

While we generally focus on Albany, there will be a homecoming that night for someone on the UNH sideline: Head Coach Sean McDonnell.

McDonnell has been the head coach at New Hampshire for 17 years, but before his tenure at UNH, he was a St. Peter's Academy graduate in 1973. St. Peter's Academy eventually became Saratoga Central Catholic.

He's had unprecedented success at New Hampshire, leading the Wildcats to 155 straight weeks in the FCS Top 25 at one point. UNH was ranked No. 1 last year and advanced to the National Semifinal.

McDonnell joined us today to talk about coming back to the Capital Region, building up a program, and the keys to topping the Great Danes on Saturday.

We also asked him about Chip Kelly, a guy he knows well from his time at UNH.
