The honors and accolades keep coming in for Shenendehowa star baseball player Ian Anderson. The senior was named a second-team high school All-American for his work in helping lead the Plainsmen to the NYS Class AA Championship.

Oh, in addition to that? Anderson was the No. 3 pick in the MLB Draft by the Atlanta Braves. He reportedly will sign a contract with a $4 million signing bonus. He cannot sign officially until after he walks across the stage at high school graduation this week.

Anderson will likely to report to the Gulf Coast League in Florida but could also spend time on the Braves complex being monitored and working on his craft.

Anderson throwns between 92-96 MPH and features a good changeup and solid breaking ball. As the Braves continue to rebuild their farm system, they look like a real player in 5-6 years when Anderson could potentially be up in the big leagues.
