Previewing the Preakness Field

You don't often hear a lot of talk about sex appeal in regard to horses.

Except in big time horse races; races like the Preakness.

Just maybe not this year's edition.

Ten horses will take to the Pimlico Starting gate on Saturday, with only two under 10/1 on the morning line, and only one of that pair entering off a win.  That horse is, of course, California Chrome - the reigning Kentucky Derby champion, prohibitive 3/5 favorite, and the horse of the race.

Michael Eisen of Giants.Com With Armen And Levack

In the months leading up to the NFL draft, it seemed a foregone conclusion that the New York Giants would take an offensive lineman.

Then they didn't.

Instead, they took LSU wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. and instantly opened themselves up to questions about the speedy pass catcher's fit, and the stability of an offensive line that helped doom the team's 2013 campaign.

Jordan Raanan On The Giants’ Draft

The buildup to the 2014 NFL Draft has been a long one for Giants fans, beginning before the 2013 season was even halfway through - such is what happens when you open with six straight losses.

Mum was the word on whether the winger would actually be in the lineup in what is essentially a must-win for the Rangers, but it has been confirmed that he has been upgraded to day-to-day

Teen Benched For Long Hair?

Society is doomed.

Make no mistake, people, this civilization of ours is going straight to hell.

Damn kids today with their Facebooks and their mall loiterings and their Dan Fogelbergs.  They don't know anything about respect.  Back in the good old days, when this plane of ours wasn't on fire and plummeting out of the sky, kids knew a thing or two about responsibility.

California Chrome Wins The Kentucky Derby

It was one horse, and the rest of the field, they said.

And this time, they got it right.

Because shortly after the field turned for home, one horse separated himself from that field, and crossed the wire alone - announcing to the world that though he's not a blue-blood, he's every bit as good.

That California Chrome will shine brightly tonight in Louisville as the 140th winner of the Kentucky Derby.

Kentucky Derby Predictions and Betting Advice

I've never had a mint julep.  Hell, I don't even drink.  But after previewing this race, I may need one.

And after it, if it all goes south - like it certainly can in the Derby and is, perhaps, likely in an edition as confusing as this the 140th - I may need several.
