Siena's Leslie Okeo, one of the top defenders in women's volleyball in the entire country has been named as one of the 30 finalists for the prestigious Lowe's Senior CLASS Award.

Okeo is the only student from the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference to be in the final 30. In order to win the award, or even make the finals, the player must be a senior in Division I atheltics and must have achievements in the following four categories: community, classroom, character and competition.

CLASS stands for Celebrating Loyalty and Achievement  for Staying in School.

Akeo is known as a defensive demon, leading  the school all-time in digs. Right now she is ranked 10th in the NCAA's in digs nationally.

Off the Volleyball court, Akeo has impressive credentials as well, sporting a solid 3.73 GPA in management and is a two time MAAC All-American and MAAC honor roll selection.
