It was the first race in the Chase for the Sprint cup on Sunday at the Chicagoland Speedway. It was Miller Time at the Geico 400 as Brad Keselowski would take the checkered flag.

The race was basically the story of two drivers, Keselowsk and Jimmie Johnson. Johnson would lead the most laps but the two would trade the lead on a few occassions. Brad would take over for good on lap 232 for the win. Johnson would take second followed by Kasey Kahne, Kyle Bush and Ryan Newman rounding out the top 5.

Jeff Gordon would start his quest for the cup on a bad note smacking the wall on lap 188. Gordon would go straight to gargage following the accident. He would finish 35th and is now last in the Chase standings.

Race 2 in the Chase for the Sprint Cup will be next Sunday with the Sylvania 300 at the New Hampshire Motor Speedway in Loudon. All the TV coverage will be seen on ESPN starting at 1pm.
