Bruins Force Game 7 With Big Win
Game 6 went the way the Boston Bruins wanted it too last night. They beat the Vancouver Canucks 5-2 to force game 7 on Wednesday night.
If you aren't watching this years Stanley Cup finals than you are missing out on one of the best play off series that the NHL has seen in a long time. The Boston Bruins were on the cusp of elimination on Monday night, but through sheer determination they send a big message to Vancouver with their 5-2 win. That message; you better bring your "A game" come Wednesday night.
The Bruins struck early in game 6, tagging Vancouver's goalie Roberto Luongo for 3 goals. The Canucks pulled him for the second time in this series, but Boston was not done. They score 2 more times on back up goalie Cory Schneider. A big win for the Bruins who are on their way to the first championship for the franchise since 1972. The series is all tied up at 3-3, so it is right down to the wire. If Vancouver comes up with a win at home on Wednesday night it will be the franchises first cup win.
The home team seems to be the team that wins in this series, and the Stanley Cup playoffs this season as a whole. Boston has been dominate at home and Vancouver has just gotten the job done. The Canucks have won at home, but barely. 1-0 in game 1, 3-2 in game 2 and another 1-0 win in game 5. The Bruins on the other hand play very well at home, but as you can see they have not played well on the road. So if the Canucks pull out another skin of their teeth win, they will be hoisting up Lord Stanley's Cup.
