I have absolutely no idea why but I love "pocket watching" sports franchises. For some reason, it's become another way to keep score on who's winning at the game of life. The fact that a team as bad as the New York Knicks is on the court can year after year have one of the highest values in all of sports is fascinating to me. So here's "Forbes' World's Most Valuable Sports Teams For 2020."

Before you say "DUUUUHHHHHH" to the belief the New York Knicks could possibly make the playoffs, remember that there was a playoff proposal where they could. As we all practice "Social Distancing" maybe we could all learn from former New York Knicks Forward Charles Oakley. Oakley has been extremely vocal about his dislike for team owner James Dolan, which didn't bother the Knicks' fanbase very much but now he continues to take swings at his former teammate Patrick Ewing.

So you're telling me there's a chance? The New York Knicks were in yet another "rebuilding season" before the league shut down due to the COVID-19 outbreak. With a record of 21 - 45 with 16 games left the Knicks were just about eliminated from the postseason. About 10 games behind the Magic for the 8th and final Eastern Conference playoff spot the Knicks were looking to next season and figuring out who would coach them next year. That may all change based on a reported expanded NBA tournament scenario.

The New York Knicks finally made their debut on the ESPN Michael Jordan 10 part documentary "The Last Dance" last night. Obviously the story is focused on Jordan and his Chicago Bulls but I couldn't help but wonder if my favorite team, the 1990 Knicks' were just a footnote in MJ's legacy.
