The long-awaited debut of Basketball Hall of Fame Head Coach Rick Pitino for the Iona Gaels has finally happened. The Gaels were tasked with playing the Big East's Seton Hall for their home opener and even though the Gaels ended up losing 86 - 64 they actually lead by as much a 9 points late in the first half. Coach was nice enough to join us on Media and Picture day. So not only did coach have to wrangle all his players and take pictures he had to field questions from the entire Capital Region news force. Coach lays out the teams upcoming schedule including when 5 on 5 practices begin, non conference schedule will be expected and how he's preparing the team to Vote in the upcoming election.
