A former capital region national championship team will be honored this October. In 2011 The College of Saint Rose Golden Knights women's soccer team won the Division 2 national championship. Next month, the team will enter the NE10 Conference's Hall of Fame.

The championship team from 2011 set a school record with ninety goals. Four members of the team earned All-America honors, six who earned United Soccer Coaches All-East accolades, five who were named to the NCAA All-Tournament Team, and eight who collected NE10 All-Conference honors. The team's twenty four overall victories was just one shy of the then NCAA Division II record.
