Let's face it. In the winter months, there can be a shortage of things to do. Especially, if you like to get outside but that's not the case at Winterfest in Saratoga.

If you're like me and you love downtown Saratoga and delicious food, then you're going to want to keep Saturday, February 4 open. Oh, and bring some cash.

Chowderfest is back in Saratoga for the 19th year in a row. Before coming to the Capital Region, I had never had a bite of chowder in my life. Then I went to Chowder Fest and not only got to try it but I had about 40 different chowders. With so many different vendors, I didn't even touch the surface on all the different flavors. Don't worry, if sea food is not your thing there are plenty of different recipes with all of your favorite meats, cheeses and sauces. Last year, I was pretty addicted to this delicious corn chowder right outside the Saratoga City Center.

The vendors pack the streets and there's never a shortage on delicious food but also plenty of transportation and some great hotel accommodations should you want to hang out in Saratoga for the night. Really, why wouldn't you?
