Saturday saw the fifth race in the chase for the Sprint Cup Championship and the final night race of the season at the Charlotte Motor Speedway. Clint Bowyer would cross the finish line first as the winner of the Bank Of America 500.

It was a battle of fuel conservation in the last few laps as only 6 cars were on the lead lap. Bowyer and Denny Hamlin would battle it out in the final laps but Bowyer would hold on for his third victory of the season and his first at the Charlotte Motor Speedway. Jimmie Johnson, Greg Biffle and Kyle Busch would round out the top 5.

Points leader Brad Keselowski would end up in 11th place after running out of gas at lap 275. He led the most laps in the race with 140. Keselowski remains the points leader by 7 points over Jimmie Johnson. The complete Chase standings are as follows:
