With their 49-17 loss to the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday night, the Giants will finish under .500 for the third consecutive season; the first time that has happened since eight consecutive years from 1973-80. Is it time for a considerable change starting with the head coach?

The Giants have not had this rough of a season in a long time. Head coach Tom Coughlin was at a loss for words after the loss Sunday night. This is the fourth consecutive season the Giants have missed the playoffs, their longest since a 17-year draught from 1964-80. They also failed to win 6 games in which they were tied or leading with less than 2 minutes left.

Is this the season Tom Coughlin leaves New York? It most certainly could be, his seat is hotter now than it has ever been; even in the years he led the team to the Super Bowl.

Change is most certainly coming for Big Blue, but where? Eli Manning is thriving under offensive coordinator Ben McAdoo's system, so McAdoo must be given another chance. If Coughlin stays, there needs to be upgrades made on the defensive side of the ball. Whether they are personnel or coaching, changes are a must. The lack of productive linebacker play is clearly visible and needs to finally be addressed.

There is a lot to consider going into this offseason.
