“Cubs Win” MLB 12 The Show Commercial [VIDEO]

MLB 12 The Show was released on Tuesday by SONY Playstation.  The commercial shows something that has basically never been shown before; Cubs fans celebrating a World Series triumph.

Man, I hate the Chicago Cubs.  I can't tell you how much I hate the Chicago Cubs.  I grew up in South Bend, IN.  It's only 90 miles east of Chicago, IL.  South Bend is crawling with Cub fans.  Every single year growing up (and I mean every, single, stinkin' year) I had to deal with overzealous Cub fans saying, "This is the year!  This is the year the Cubbies win the World Series!"

It never was their year.  I hope it'll never, ever, ever be their year.  Hearing Cub fans say, "This is the year," approximately 28 billion times in my lifetime has soured me (as you can tell).  I'm also a St. Louis Cardinals fan, which makes me hate the Cubs even more.

The Cubs haven't won a World Series since 1908.  If there was ever a team in the history of sports, where the fan base should react AFTER a championship season, it's the Chicago Cubs.  But hey, at least there is a cool video game commercial featuring the Cubs winning a fictitious championship.  It's better than nothing.- right, Cub fans?
