David Stern has only avoided being the worst commissioner in sports because of how terrible Gary Bettman and Roger Goodell are. However, neither of those fools have ever made a mistake during a speaking engagement as embarrassing as the one Stern made during tonight's Miami Heat ring ceremony, where he called Hurricane Sandy by the name of another tragic storm, Hurricane Katrina.

Dear God, that is the most painful thing I have ever heard in my life. You would think that the commish would have practiced that part of his speech over and over again to avoid making a complete idiot of himself. Then again, given the collective competence of the four big American sports commissioners, I can't say I'm completely surprised.
