As a takeoff to his brilliant call of the 1980 USA Olympic Hockey game vs the old U.S.S.R., Al Michaels might believe in miracles but he didn't believe calling a cab after allegedly drinking too much and getting behind the wheel of his car.

The NBC Sportscaster was arrested Friday night in Southern California for reportedly drinking too much and then driving.

When given a blood-alcohol test Michaels registered a .08 legal limit. He was held in the police station for over 5 hours then released on his own recognizance. I can't even fathom that it ook that long for him to be recognized to wait that long to be released.

Michaels is now the voice of course of Sunday night Football, where he teams up with Chris Collinsworth on the broadcasts. I seriously doubt he lacks the funds to call a cab.

Michaels is 68 years old. he has won many awards for his stellar broadcasting. he was at 1 time the voice of the Cincinnati Reds, the San Francisco Giants, Monday night baseball, Monday night football with John Madden, the Kentucky Derby and many many other sports including hosting from the studio for Olympic coverage.

Michaels has been ordered to appear back in court on the 26th of June.
