The college football season officially kicked off Friday when California defeated Hawaii in Australia. The slate of college football games picks up this Thursday when ESPN's coverage of games stretches from Thursday all the way until Monday night. ESPN's college football insiders offered up their predictions on what they believe will happen this season. Of the ten insiders polled six of them picked last year's runner up Clemson to win the national championship. Three others chose last year's champions Alabama to repeat while Ted Miller was the lone wolf in selecting the Florida State Seminoles to win the championship. Last year Clemson quarterback DeShaun Watson finished third in the Heisman Trophy voting. This year seventy percent of the voters believed Watson will win the Heisman Trophy in December. Last year's runner up Stanford running back Christian McCaffrey received twenty percent of the vote while LSU running back Leonard Fournette picked up ten percent of the votes.
