The Ryan Fitzpatrick saga is finally over in New York! Fitz has agreed to a one-year deal with $12 million of fully guaranteed money. This finally ends the worst drama in New York sports land, one that has lasted far too long.

It doesn't feel like a real win for either side: Both sides have positives and negatives.

For the Jets: The one-year deal is a win because they aren't married to Fitz (an aging QB) for any amount of the long term. They also get Fitz to help mentor young QBs Bryce Petty and Christian Hackenberg. The negatives? They had to raise their money offer from $9 million to $12 million and they also could be facing this same situation next year.

For Fitz? He gets the guaranteed money that he wanted but he also has no long-term security as he moves through the end of his career.

To break it down we brought in Gary Meyers of the New York Daily News.
