New York Jets quarterback Geno Smith, could return to the team's sideline this Sunday against the Eagles. This comes after a Geno Smith went thru his first full practice on Wednesday, since he was knocked out with a broken jaw from former teammate Ik Enemkpali .

Coach Todd Bowles has been adamant that Geno would have to earn his spot back over 2-0 starter Ryan Fitzpatrick. “It’s possible,” Bowles said. “It’s between him and Bryce. We’ll see how much he learns this week. One of them will be the number two quarterback. He could be."

Geno will have to have consecutive good days of practice, to get back on the gridiron when the 0-2 Eagles come into town. “He just has to get the physical reps and get used to being out there again,” Bowles said. “But his mental side has been sharp. He was sharp when he was out there today." Geno has done everything right since getting injured, he's been in meetings, and has been doing everything he can to get right back into the rhythm of the offense, without being able to suit up.
