The New York Giants have not had much to cheer for this season. During the Giants romping win over the Tennessee Titans 36-7, they had many reasons to be cheering.

The Giants rookies Odell Beckham .Jr, and Andre Williams played absolutely outstanding football. Both players got themselves into the NFL record books with their play.

From Elias: Odell Beckham Jr. caught 11 passes for 130 yards in the Giants' 36-7 win at Tennessee. In six games since November 1, Beckham's totals are historic. During that time, he has caught 49 passes, by far the highest total over a six-game span by any rookie in NFL history. Prior to Beckham's surge, the record was 41 by Dolphins RB Terry Kirby in 1994 and Anquan Boldin for the Cardinals in 2003.

Beckham gained 723 yards on those 49 receptions, and that is the second-highest receiving-yardage total over six games by an NFL rookie. The record is 770 yards, set by Bill Groman of the Houston Oilers in 1960.

1st rounder Beckham, and 4th round pick Andre Williams also made history together.

From Elias: Andre Williams gained 131 rushing yards for the Giants on Sunday. Williams and Beckham were the first pair of Giants rookies with 100 yards - one by rushing, the other by receiving - in the same game. No other rookie teammates in league history reached 130 yards in rushing and receiving, respectively, in the same game.
