This season I’ll be providing my own personal Top 25 poll each week during the college football season. My poll philosophy is ranking the teams I believe are the best twenty five best in the country following that given week’s games. Below are my rankings and comments about each week’ biggest shake up and changes.

1) Alabama

2) Clemson

3) Michigan

4) Ohio State

5) Louisville

6) Texas A&M

7) Washington

8) Houston

9) Stanford

10) Wisconsin

11) Tennessee

12) Baylor

13) Ole Miss

14) Nebraska

15) Miami

16) Arkansas

17) Florida

18) Florida State

19) LSU

20) North Carolina

21) West Virginia

22) Western Michigan

23) Colorado

24) Boise State

25) Oklahoma

The Top 11 is all types of different- We said last week that there would be some changes coming in the polls because of the great match ups from the previous week. Clemson’s win over Louisville was more impressive than Michigan’s win over Wisconsin but it was close. I would love to see a Clemson-Michigan game in the College Football playoff. From what I have seen this season, I believe Texas A&M would beat Washington in a matchup because the Huskies needed overtime to beat Arizona earlier this year. Wisconsin and Louisville both lost on the road by less than 8 points, so I don’t believe they should drop much farther than their spots in this poll. Tennessee needed overtime to beat Appalachian State and a Hail Mary to beat Georgia. The Vols may get their first L of the season this week in College Station.

Miami and Arkansas could be in Top 10 next week- Some college football experts believe Miami is a top 10 right now. In my mind, the Hurricanes’ win over Georgia Tech is not enough to be regarded as a top 10 team. However a win at home against Florida State would change my mind. Nebraska, Ole Miss, and Baylor are all on bye weeks so they may benefit if any teams above them lose. Look out for Arkansas. The Razorbacks take on the Crimson Tide this week. The Razorbacks play a similar style of football as the Crimson Tide and could give Coach Nick Saban at least their toughest game of the season.

North Carolina, Colorado and Western Michigan Could be Playing on New Year’s Day?-Keep your eye on all these teams for the remainder of the season. The South Division of the Pac 12 is wide open and right now Colorado looks like the best team so far. The winner of that division will get a shot at either Stanford or Washington with a chance to get to the Rose Bowl. Same can be said for North Carolina as someone has to come out of the Coastal Division. The Tar Heels get the Hurricanes on October 15th. If Houston gets beat at some point, could Western Michigan catch up to them with an undefeated season?
