Greg Biffle took the checkered flag Sunday afternoon at the Pure Michigan 400 as NASCAR ran their second race at Michigan International Speedway this season. This was Biffle's second win of the season.

Brad Keselowski would take second place at his home track, followed very closely by Kasey Kahne. Dale Earnhardt Jr. would continue his impressive 2012 run with a fourth place finish and last week's winner Marcos Ambrose would round out the top 5.

Jimmie Johnson looked to have a good chance at winning this race as he was leading with 5 laps left. Unfortunately for Johnson, he would be the victim of a blown engine causing a caution and a Green-White-Checkered finish with Biffle coming out on top. Johnson wouldn't be the only Hendrick car with an engine problem as Jeff Gordon would also head to the garage during the race.

It was also a bad day for pole sitter Mark Martin who ended up in a nasty crash hitting the pit road wall after getting caught up in a crash that involved Juan Pablo Montoya and Bobby Labonte.

The victory for Biffle also put him in the Points lead. He leads Teammate Matt Kenseth by 20 ponts, followed by Dale Earnhardt Jr. Jimmie Johnson's engine problems would drop him to fourth place.

Next week the Sprint Cup Series will race under the lights at Bristol Motor Speedway in Bristol, Tennessee. ABC will have the television coverage starting at 7pm.
