“I thought they handled it exactly right," said ESPN's Buster Olney. It's not common for players to miss a mandatory workout. It just doesn’t happen. All the players live in the Greater New York area, probably some of them had to drive through tunnels. Some had to come from New Jersey like Matt Harvey and you know what? They’re on time.

"I can’t remember, covering the New Yankees in the post-season, if there was a player showing up late in the post-season for a workout. I just don’t remember that. It just doesn’t happen.

"I do think there was some level of annoyance reflected in the words of David Wright, he said, ‘I’m focused on the guys that are here’. I love David Wright. I think this is the sort of thing you do when you start to get annoyed … it’s a passive aggressive way of saying ‘You should be here’."

ESPN's Buster Olney joins 'Armen and Levack' every Thursday at 5:15p ET, sponsored by All Star Wine and Spirits, and exclusively on 104.5 The Team.
