Fort Ann Boys’ Soccer, Schalmont Girls Win State Titles

High School playoffs were in full force this weekend with several Section II teams having great success on the fields and on the court:

In Boys soccer:

Fort Ann won the Class D state title... in Class AA Ballston Spa fell in the state championship game.

Greenville lost in the state semifinals in Class C while Burnt Hills lost in the same round in Class A.

In Girls' soccer...

Schalmont won the state title in Class B...

In volleyball:

The Shen girls' volleyball team is headed to the state tournament after a big win, as are the Burnt Hills girls and the Shen boys.

And in football: Whitehall fell in the Class D regional final, but Greenwich won in Class C and Schuyerville won in Class B.

Amsterdam (A) and Saratoga (AA) had byes this weekend, so Section II has four teams in the state final four next weekend.

Lots of opportunities for state titles!
