The Jets kept their playoff hopes alive on Sunday by throttling the Dolphins 38-20 in New York.

Ryan Fitzpatrick threw for four touchdowns and Brandon Marshall had 131 yards receiving in the win, while the defense held the Dolphins to 12 yards rushing. Chris Ivory had 87 on the ground for the Jets.

The win moves the Jets to 6-5. They sit just on the outside of the AFC playoff picture, behind the Houston Texans and the Kansas City Chiefs, who are also 6-5.

If the playoffs started today, the Chiefs would be the five seed after they beat the Bills. The Texans, who beat the Jets last week, would be the No. 6 seed.

The Jets take on the Giants next week, with the Jets acting as the road team in that game. The Jets also have winnable games against the Titans and Cowboys coming up before taking on the Patriots again. They end the season with the Bills at Ralph Wilson Stadium.
