New York Rangers head coach John Tortorella continues to be ice cold with the media.  Watching a movie with the sound off while blindfolded is more productive than observing Tortorella's press conferences.

It was just one day ago that I wrote a story on this same website (1045theteam.com) about New York Rangers head coach John Tortorella being as warm as an iceberg with the media.  Well, Tortorella didn't show any sign of exactly opening up to the media on Wednesday night.  Following the Rangers 3-2 loss to the New Jersey Devils in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Finals, Tortorella was his normal chilly self with the media.

I don't have a problem with a coach being short with the media.  However, I do have a problem with a head coach that is simply stubborn to a fault.  Tortorella wasn't asked any questions that were unfair.  When a reporter asked, "What areas would you like to see better?"  Tortorella said, "I'm going to keep it in the room."  Huh?  Keep it in the room?  I can understand coaches being secretive to a certain degree, but knowing Tortorella's history of dealing with the media, his answer wreaks of, "I don't want to talk to you!"  The man just gave a series of two-word answers.  This isn't professional at all.  Tortorella is simply being stubborn to a fault.
