When Phil Jackson returned to the New York Knicks to take over President of basketball operations, he set out to make the Knicks a contender in eastern conference once again. The 69-year-old Jackson, was a part of the Knicks historic 1969-70 season, where the team set a record with 60 wins on its way to capturing its first NBA Championship.

On Saturday night Phil Jackson's renovated Knicks, set a new franchise record with 60 losses. That’s the highest loss total in the franchise’s 69-year history. The Knicks have now lost seven straight and 14 of 16 games.

If the Knicks finish the NBA’s worst record, they will be guaranteed to pick no lower than fourth in the draft. They will also have a 25 percent chance to land the No. 1 pick. The top four prospects include; Kentucky's Karl-Anthony Towns, Duke's Jahlil Okafor, Ohio State's D'Angelo Russell, and Guangdong Southern Tigers(China professional league) Emmanuel Mudiay.
