Well, that didn't take long. The Jets cut Matt Simms on Thursday and the Buffalo Bills picked him up within 24 hours.

The quarterback competition in Buffalo is now even more complicated as Simms joins the gang of EJ Manuel, Matt Cassel and Tyrod Taylor after the announcement of their release of Jeff Tuel. It's an interesting decision after Simms reportedly requested his release from the Jets because he felt he would not get an ample opportunity to start.

Simms had four career starts for Gang Green over the past two seasons in which he has a 48.7% completion percentage being 19 of 39 for 195 yards, one touchdown and one interception.

There's an obvious connection here between Simms and Rex Ryan as he was the one who picked up the undrafted New Jersey native back in 2012.

Let's be honest though, if Matt Simms is ever the starting quarterback for the Bills then that's bad news.
