So much for his 1 game scoring slump. Mike Black who scored only 3 points in the previous game, a win in Binghamton, Black roared back, scoring a career high 28 on Saturday leading the Great Danes to a big 76-63 win over the Maine Black Bears in  an America East matchup Saturday afternoon in Albany.

Black and leading scorer Jacob Iati were both off in Binghamton but Sam Rawley helped pick up the slack with his 1st career double-double. he notched his 2nd DD on Saturday and Iati had a nice game as well.

Rawley contributed 10 points and 13 rebounds. Iati finished with 14 points. UAlbany walked off the court with just a 2 point lead at the break 31-29 but surged in the 2nd half.

Black played a sensational all around game. Besides the career high 28 points he had 4 assists,3 steals and a block shot to help his club.

UAlbany was on fire in the 2nd half, hitting over 52% of their shots and when not making shots from the floor they buried their free throws hitting 20 freebies in the 2nd half alone.

UAlbany finds themselves a half game behind conference leader Stony Brook as the Sea Wolves also were winners on Saturday. They are tied with Vermont and Hartford at 3-1 in the America East standings.

The Danes now set off for a 2 game road trip that begins Wednesday night  in New Hampshire and then play Saturday at Hartford.
