Monday Night Football: Tom Brady throws 4 TDs in Patriots 42-14 rout over Texans
Tom Brady threw for 296 yards and four touchdowns, and the New England Patriots beat the Houston Texans, 42-14, in Foxborough, Mass. on Monday night. New England (10-3) won its seventh straight game, piling up a 28-point lead before Houston (11-2) finally got on the scoreboard in the third quarter.
Patriots' tight end Aaron Hernandez caught eight passes for 58 yards, including two first-half touchdowns. Brady threw scoring passes of 37 yards to Brandon Lloyd and 63 yards to Donte' Stallworth, as the New England quarterback recorded a touchdown pass in his 45th consecutive game. Stevan Ridley added 72 rushing yards and a touchdown for the Patriots.
Matt Schaub passed for 232 yards and an interception for the Texans. Houston receiver Andre Johnson had eight catches for 95 yards. The Texans were unable to use their potent rushing attack after falling behind so early in the game.
