No Blackout for Bills Game
ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (AP) — For the second time in two months, Buffalo Bills owner Ralph Wilson Jr. is buying the remaining tickets to a home game to avoid a local television blackout.
Bills President and CEO Russ Brandon announced Friday that Wilson has guaranteed a sellout of this Sunday's game against the New York Jets at Ralph Wilson Stadium.
The NFL on Thursday granted the Bills a one-day extension to avoid becoming the NFL's first team this season to have a home game blacked out on local TV. The team said it still had about 3,500 tickets left as of Thursday.
Wilson also bought the remaining 5,300 tickets for Buffalo's home game against Cincinnati on Oct. 13.
The Bills failed to sell out two home games last year and three in 2011.
