Patriots Release Dan Gronkowski
The New England Patriots have released tight end Dan Gronkowski. They wouldn’t dream of releasing the other Gronkowski who’s tearing it up for the Pats this season.
Rob Gronkowski has 10 catches for 172 yards and 3 touchdowns in two games for the Patriots this season. He’s not going anywhere. However, his brother Dan Gronkowski hasn’t caught a pass this season for the Pats. His bags are packed after getting released by the Patriots on Friday.
Dan was signed by the Patriots on September 7 and played in the first two games. It’s a bad sign when the only pictures of Dan Gronkowski that I could find on Getty Images for my blog on 1045theteam.com were pics of Dan in a Broncos’ uniform.
Aaron Hernandez hasn’t been too shabby for the Pats either this season. Dan’s days were numbered with New England but he’ll end up somewhere. He’s a young player who comes from a family with good tight end genes. His brother Chris also plays in the NFL for the Indianapolis Colts.
