The New England Patriots are gearing up for a big game with the surprisingly good New York Jets on Sunday.

But the Pats (5-0) are also doing a little rearview mirror-staring with the Jets (4-1) in preparation.

On Thursday, the Patriots official team Twitter account tweeted out a picture of the infamous "Butt Fumble" from a 2012 game between the two teams.

And then they took it down, so all we have is proof from other sources that it really did happen.

The Patriots captioned the tweet with the words "This seems relevant #TBT." TBT means "Throwback Thursday."

The Butt Fumble is three years old and it honestly it feels much older than that. It's been in the news forever and it's really no longer funny to me. The Patriots are regarded as one of the classier organizations (except a lot of their rivals will tell you otherwise), and they really just seem better than this.
